The code and information for this post come from Karoshi Ethos I have just broken it down a bit more into steps.

If you are tracking more than calories in MyFitnessPal (MFP) and want to be able to have your macros (e.g. carbs, fats & protein) not having to add up to 100% as per is the standard MFP data you can do this by adding something to your web browsers (safari, chrome, firefox or internet explorer)

To do this for Google Chrome

  1. First add the Tampermonkey extension by clicking here  and add to Chrome
  2. Once it is added then click here it will open the script that needs added, then on that page click install.
  3. Close your chrome window and re open and open up your MFP and go to the goals page and change goals
  4. Choose custom – and then you should see the options to have your macros in % or g

To do this for Safari

  1. Open up your MFP and go to the goals page and change goals in a tab (leaving this one open in another)
  2. Choose custom – continue
  3. Drag the button below to your bookmarks bar at the top & drop it there.
  4. Go back to the MFP tab
  5. Click on the new bookmark and you should see the ability to change macros by grams. (click on the % and it is under it)

To do this for Firefox

  1. First add the Greasemonkey extension by clicking here  and add to Firefox
  2. Once it is added then click here it will open the script that needs added, then on that page click install.
  3. Close your firefox window and re open and open up your MFP and go to the goals page and change goals
  4. Choose custom – and then you should see the options to have your macros in % or g

To do this for Internet Explorer

  1. Open up your MFP and go to the goals page and change goals in a tab (leaving this one open in another)
  2. Choose custom – continue
  3. Right click on the button below and add to  your bookmarks bar
  4. Go back to the MFP tab
  5. Click on the new bookmark and you should see the ability to change macros by grams. (click on the % and it is under it)
